3 Dimensional Modeling

Advances in software and data analysis algorithms are starting to result in sophisticated programs that allow scientists to actually visualize the undersea environment.

The capabilities of this new generation of software and the benefits it provides in the area of undersea exploration are explained in a report produced by the Center for Coastal and Ocean Mapping, University of New Hampshire.  This report has several excellent examples of the high quality imagery that can be produced by utilization of multiple data sets.
